How Trustmary Score is calculated
i

Trustmary Score is an overall assessment of a company's customer experience on a scale of 0–100. It is calculated by combining data from multiple reliable sources through three main components:

The score is based on feedback and reviews from the last 24 months. The more recent the feedback, the more it affects the score.

SATISFACTION

Satisfaction tells how satisfied customers are on average. Recent ratings weigh more than old ones. The average rating of New Spaces over the last 24 months is 4.7, based on 56 ratings (feedback or review), of which 45 are identified.

What customers say

AI generated

Homeowner accounts collected from 2013 through 2025 have drawn consistent recognition for the three-option design format and on-site explanations from lead carpenters, while post-consultation communication challenges—including delayed follow-ups, incomplete pricing breakdowns, and unreturned contact attempts—have appeared with greater frequency in recent accounts from 2024 and 2025 and emerged as the most commonly documented concern in that period.

Key Trends

AI generated

Accounts documenting the three-option design presentation, in which homeowners selected elements across cost tiers to create customized plans, appeared throughout the 2013–2025 period, with entries between 2021 and 2024 describing the selection process and cost-point flexibility in greater detail than earlier accounts from 2013 through 2018.

Communication patterns have diverged between completed construction projects and consultation experiences: entries from 2013 through 2021 emphasized quick email replies and weekly status updates from project coordinators during builds, while consultation-phase entries from 2024 and 2025 noted delayed estimate follow-ups, lost meeting notes, and unreturned contact attempts after initial discussions.

Budget transparency shifted from a frequently cited strength in accounts dated 2013 through 2020, where staying on budget and receiving itemized cost breakdowns throughout work were mentioned repeatedly, to a source of friction in recent accounts from 2024 and 2025, which described vague pricing, incomplete itemization totaling tens of thousands of dollars, and difficulty comparing proposal details.

Schedule adherence observations have varied across the timeline: accounts from 2021 and 2022 noted timeline slips that were not communicated in advance during design and construction phases, while earlier entries from 2013 through 2018 described schedules that were met and weekly advance notifications of planned work sent before each phase began.

Where New Spaces excels

AI generated

88% of feedback is positive

Designers have asked homeowners about lifestyle patterns and household requirements, then presented three design options at different budget levels and invited clients to select elements from each option to create plans that matched stated preferences.
Lead carpenters have explained work in progress, proposed adjustments when unexpected conditions such as plumbing behind soffits or reversed appliance door hinges were discovered, and cleaned work areas daily.
A 2012 kitchen client received unprompted assistance from a home advisor in 2024 following a plumbing leak, with the advisor arranging ceiling repair and personally helping select new flooring and color choices to update the space twelve years after original work was completed.
Project coordinators have sent weekly emails before each construction phase describing upcoming work, and representatives have answered questions during completed projects through maintained communication channels.

  • Post-consultation follow-ups in 2024 and 2025 were documented as delayed or incomplete, with examples including lost meeting notes, estimates promised within specified timeframes and delivered days or weeks late, and multiple contact attempts that received no response after initial discussions.
  • A 2024 homeowner paid design fees and received proposals tens of thousands of dollars over budget with incomplete cost itemization, then received no response to multiple contact attempts for clarification or contract review.
  • A 2023 respondent characterized the construction phase as months behind schedule and reported that every part of the build required rework, with a city inspection left incomplete and door installation errors that needed correction.
  • Final pricing presentations from 2024 were described as vague, lacking itemized detail needed to choose among project components, and delivered through forwarded email chains rather than structured documentation.

New Spaces remodeled my kitchen and mudroom back in 2012, and I loved the results. What truly sets them apart, though, is what happened years later. In 2024, I experienced a plumbing leak that caused water damage to my kitchen ceiling and floor, all during an incredibly difficult time for my family. I reached out to New Spaces hoping for a referral or some guidance, and I was honestly blown away by the response. Jennifer McClellan immediately stepped in, arranged for my ceiling repair, and personally helped me select new flooring. She even advised on color choices to modernize the kitchen while ensuring it flowed with the rest of my home. I included a picture with the new floor that I love! The end result was fantastic, but what meant the most was the unexpected care and support so many years after my original renovation. That level of customer service is rare. I am deeply grateful and would highly recommend New Spaces to anyone considering a home renovation.

Bjorn was very informative and supportive of our project. We are in the very early stages of determining scope and timeline. From here I am hoping we can look at meaningful alternatives and come up with a good plan.
