Well-organized. James and Edwin were constantly in touch to ensure things ran smoothly. Because of bad weather our flight from Lima to Cuzco was cancelled but they were on top of the problem and immediately rebooked us. The beauty of sacred valley and Machu Picchu can't be described in words. One needs to visit to appreciate. Our guide Herbert in Machu Picchu was outstanding, very knowledgeable and made the tour stand out.

The guides, porters and cooks were fabulous and helped make our trip so enjoyable. With their support we were able to complete the trek safely and comfortably, learn about the history and geography of the area, and trek at a pace that allowed us to soak in the beauty of Patagonia. I can honestly say it was an experience of a lifetime! Tour Guide: Francisco Francisco was an outstanding guide. His knowledge of the region, its history, and its natural surroundings was impressive, but what truly set him apart was his passion for the park and its conservation. He shared fascinating insights about the wildlife, geology, and Chilean culture. He also ensured everyone felt comfortable and safe during the trek, pacing the trek according to our abilities. His personality and philosophy created a relaxed atmosphere and made the whole experience particularly memorable. Chef: Yamila A huge shoutout to Chef Yamila, who made every meal on the trek feel like a gourmet experience. After long days of hiking, having a fresh, delicious meal waiting for us was a real treat. Yamila’s meals were not only nutritious but also creatively prepared, with a mix of local flavours and international flair. It was a pleasant surprise to enjoy such high-quality meals in the middle of the wilderness – everything from hearty stews to fresh salads and sweet treats! Yamila’s dedication to keeping the group fueled and happy was much appreciated and we certainly felt spoilt when eating our gormet meals amongst the other campers. The Trek Itself The W-Trek itself is nothing short of breathtaking. The landscapes are otherworldly – towering granite peaks, crystal-clear lakes, vast glaciers, and lush valleys. Each day brought new vistas, and with Francisco’s expertise, we were able to get the most out of each stop. Logistics & Support Una Raymi did a fantastic job coordinating the logistics of the trek. Everything was seamless, from the transportation to the campsites. The tents and gear were all of great quality, and we had the comfort of knowing that everything was taken care of, leaving us to focus on the adventure itself. The team was incredibly professional, making sure we had everything we needed and clarifying all our doubts and answering all of our questions. We had booked the refugios, but these had sold out and so we camped instead - this suited us perfectly well and we had privacy that we wouldn't have with a dorm room, but I would recommend that you remain flexible when making your bookings as this can happen during the high season. Extra money we'd paid for this was refunded promptly by the company. We also needed to change the order of the treks slightly due to challenging weather conditions on one of the days - again we benefitted from the expert insight of our guide to make this adjustment and were grateful for this, had we attempted things on our own we probably wouldn't have known to make this change and would have struggled with the weather. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better team to experience the W-Trek with. Francisco, Yamila, and the whole Una Raymi crew made this journey truly unforgettable. If you’re thinking about taking on the W-Trek, I wholeheartedly recommend Una Raymi – they’re experts in making this incredible trek as enjoyable and memorable as possible!

Overall my tour was a great experience, mostly due to my amazing guide Yamila (I highly recommend finding out when Yamila is doing the tour and book then!) Our two cooks Sergio and Paulina were phenomenal as well. I booked the refugio but it was full so I ended up in a tent which was fine as the tent was spacious and the sleeping bag was very warm (plus you have more privacy in a tent). I will caution people to not get so hung up on the schedule, as things like weather can change very quickly and the guides might adjust the schedule to make the most of your time in Patagonia. I would recommend this tour if you’re adventurous, fit, and most importantly flexible. If you’re all of these things you will not regret your time on this tour.

Unu Raymi Expeditions was extremely helpful, quick to respond, and super accommodating when I needed to adjust my plans due to personal reasons. Their customer service was excellent, and they promptly addressed any concerns I raised.

Overall, the organization provided me with a wonderful W circuit experience! Overall good responsiveness prior to the trek. The guides were wonderful, especially Edgar (Lalo), as he cooked wonderful meals and explained things about the park’s history, as well as the flora and fauna. Despite booking Refugios, I ended up having to stay in tents each night but the sleeping bags and tents provided were great quality. I have many amazing memories to look back to for years to come :)

A great hike in Chile through the beautiful Torres del Paine National Park for 8 days organized by Unu Raymi Expeditions. 5 trekkers new to each other (USA, AUS, CA) led by guide Andrés and supported by a great quartet of porters. Our group was blessed with beautiful weather and a magnificent natural wonder of mountains, glaciers and forests along the hike. Even the condors came out to watch us. Thanks to James for coordinating the hike and being very responsive during my preparations and many thanks to Andrés for his work in Puerto Natales and along the trail in Torres del Paine; keep an eye on us all and make all the breaking news items look easy.

Overall, the trip was very nice and James was helpful and responsive! I started with the O Trek in Torres del Paine in Chile together with the friendly guide Fransisco/Pancho and the amazing cook/porter Teo from Peru. Afterward, I had a few very nice day hikes with the guide Martin in El Chaltén, Argentina.

We booked this trek with Unu Raymi just one month before flying out to Patagonia from the UK. James at Unu Raymi was able to book the campsites and Refugio at short notice and organized a route that worked brilliantly. He organized a porter to carry the tents, sleeping bags, and other camping gear, so we only had to carry rucksacks. James was brilliant and knew all about the local wildlife and geology. Great trip.

Completed a 5-day trek in Torres Del Paine with James in November. Great experience with stunning scenery. Although it was organised last minute James managed to book campsites and a Refugio. All in all a great trip.

In the lead-up, James always responded quickly and took an interest in individual circumstances and concerns. He subsequently proved to be an excellent facilitator for my trip and Edu could not have been a better guide and companion.

Wonderful expedition! Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the summit. Several mishaps prevented this, from a lost shoe to an injured leg, to bad weather. I booked the 8-day ‘O’ Circuit trek in Torres del Paine through Unu Raymi and completed the trek in late December 2023. The booking process before the trek was quite straightforward, and James was able to answer the various questions that I had. The trek itself was fantastic and I had an excellent team in Francisco (as my guide) and Teo (as the cook/porter) out on the trail. Francisco knew the trail well, and in addition had very good knowledge about the plants we saw and was able to point out the names of the various mountains throughout the trek, as well as being very good at spotting the condors high above on several days. Teo did a superb job with the meals on the trek. He was able to accommodate my request for vegan food and I was amazed at the variety of the different meals he was able to prepare, including fresh vegetables at various times, and every meal tasted great. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

Experienced first-time traveler in Peru. My goal was to see Machu Picchu, participate in an Ayahuasca ceremony while hiking through the rainforest, and enjoy the culture and mountain excursions that time allowed. I agree with Ally, this was an amazing trek and it was even better than I had imagined it would be! Edu is an amazing guide, fun to chat with when walking, and very knowledgeable about everything Patagonia has to offer. He adapted quickly to the minor weather challenges we faced and ensured we saw everything planned! Additionally, Teo is an amazing chef. His ability to craft delicious 2-course meals at every stop is incredible and is something I wish I could do even when I have a full kitchen at home! Always with a smile, he carried a massive pack for the entire trip to ensure that we enjoyed delicious meals, and was always willing to laugh with us at our poor attempts at speaking Spanish. A 5-star trek and I will make sure to get my reviews in on those websites to ensure this company can continue to grow and give others the amazing experience that we had.

A Great Experience! The Trek with Edu was a great experience for both me and my companion. It was just us two and Edu which made for a very relaxing experience for the trip. Edu is a great guide. All the good qualities you’d hope for from a guide - patience, well-informed, fun, a great cook, and good company. His relaxed attitude towards guiding us helped make the trip a very enjoyable experience. Never did we feel rushed by him (and I stopped to take A LOT of photos!) and he found the right balance between engaging in conversation and also allowing us our own space to chat with each other. Oh, he takes great photos too! And was always happy and willing to help get good shots of us amongst the beautiful surroundings. The route itself was perfect for us and we were blessed with some great weather on the first day with many clear and sunny views of Mt Fitzroy while we climbed.

I am absolutely happy with the trek, there was so much to see! As always there are some options where to go and what to do. After a brief moment of thinking, I made a decision and with the blessing of my spouse, booked the Ausangate Trekking Tour. I loved. What's not to love about this? The mountain peaks, the lakes and waterfalls, the unusual flora and fauna... It is difficult, I assure you, to combat altitude sickness, but it is manageable and with proper care it soon passes. Every step and angle is different and the whole place is pure magic. I have met several good people along my way. The organizer Lider and my guide Javier are forever in my heart. Thank you, thank you, and once again thank you so much guys, you took a huge load of planning off my shoulders. I am in love with the Andes and I want to see and experience more, that's for sure!

We did a three-day trek. Ausangate is very beautiful with high mountains, glaciers, pretty lakes, and these colors. We came to Rainbow Mountain before the hordes of tourists came. And also, time to see the Red Valley, which is beautiful as well. It was like a private tour. The cook, the guide and the horseman served us well, nice and a lot of food 🙂

Unu Raymi tours helped me organize a three-week vacation in Peru. This allowed me to visit many of the country's most important sites but with the flexibility to add some additional places to my itinerary. The planning was excellent in that all tours, transfers and hotel arrangements were very smooth and the various contacts were very helpful, considerate and professional. Although getting around Peru and seeing all the fabulous sites made for a quick vacation with lots of traveling, it was worth it as there is so much to see. The standards of the hotel, food and tour seemed to be very good value for money, within the budget, and I received plenty of extra guidance in planning my own aspects of the trip and support when an unexpected medical issue arose. The website has interesting information and guidance that helped me plan accordingly; I think this could develop, although James was very helpful in helping me plan the vacation, including travel and packing considerations. Overall, it was a memorable few weeks for me.

I had a fantastic eight-day hike in Torres del Paine National Park. James, through his contacts in Chilean Patagonia, was able to get me on the coveted "O" Trek with just a month's notice (other hikers at the camps had booked in August or earlier). I still describe the Trek to friends and family as difficult but incredible! The local guides and porters were friendly and made the experience amazing. The trip was the reset I needed at the end of 2022 and I am grateful to Unu Raymi Expeditions for making it happen!

My friend and I booked the O-Trek in Torres Del Paine. The hike was 8 days/7 nights and we were able to see the entire park, staying five nights in the camp and two nights in the shelters. We were lucky to have a small group of just 3 travelers which means we can go as fast or slow as we would like. Our guide Andrés was amazing! He has been working for the park for 14 years and looked after us, giving us useful information along the way. It was very popular at each of the campsites and on the trail. He and the porters (Rodrigo, Vicente, and Víctor) prepared breakfast and dinner for us. The porters made our load easy (~20 lbs in my backpack carrying only my gear). It seemed like the team valued their work, which made the trip that much better. Also, James from Unu Raymi responds quickly to all messages. I recommend this company.
