When I think of nice and refreshing shave ice I will always for the rest of my life think of this place. The shave is tastes so fresh and refreshing. Even though it has a high price it is totally worth it. I would come back to Maui just for this. This will go on to be my favorite shave ice that I’ve ever had (trust me I’ve eaten a lot of shave ice). I also love that they use fruit for their syrups and that all of their syrup and flavors for the shave ice are fruit juice based. The gelato is also outstanding and is very refreshing with all of there different unique flavors. The dole whip is thick and creamy which is also a great shave ice topping. Overall this place is really a hidden gem. I hope everyone gets to come and try this place one day. This place deserves an award for creating a delicious healthier (when I say healthier I mean not as sweet and sugary) shave ice. This place deserves billions of 5 star reviews. (5 star reviews only)!! The staff was super kind, respectful, and patient. The only thing I would change is make this place a chain and open them in California so I could have it year round. And also have a little more staff per shift. But overall this place is seriously delicious. I definitely recommend!!! And again they only deserve 5 star reviews!!!!!!!!

Place is ahhhmazing. Delicious, home made, fresh, and owner is super friendly. Went twice during our vacation in April 2025. It's right on the walkway between resorts and next to a Starbucks. There is seating all around so you can enjoy your treats with a gorgeous view.

Delicious Gelato. Definitely recommend the gelato and the shaved ice with the milk cream on top it was not your ordinary shaved ice!

Best shaved ice and gelato on the island! The Cashier seemed super friendly and the dole whip was even better! I got a shaved ice with Marionberry and guava! it does not taste artifical or anything! I 100% recommend going on your next trip!10/10!! (my daughter approved of the raspberry lemon gelato)

The flavors are super good and rich, they have a nice variety of fruity and sweet flavors. The cashier seemed a little impatient, but I'm assuming that's because of the line behind us. This location was inside of the Marriott and right on the beach.

Had the non-dairy sorbet and it was perfectly smooth and nice and sweet. Raspberry and coconut double scoop paired well together. Very friendly staff.

HulaScoops was -fantastic- — we’ve had a few shaved ice on the islands (Maui/Kauai), and this was for sure our favorite. This place needs more reviews, and I don’t often leave reviews so you know it’s good. Give them a try.

Wonderful hospitality and staff is willing to explain all the options. Home made fruit syrups and coconut delicious condensed milk as an alternative to dairy. Great spot on Kaanapali Beach!

Best Shaved Ice Ever--Wish It Was Closer to Home! If you're in Maui near Lahaina, do yourself a favor and get this shaved ice! Hands down, the best I've ever had--so soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. I loved it so much that I went back on my last day, only to be heartbroken that they didn't open early enough for me to get one more before leaving! My personal recommendation: get the ice cream at the bottom and drizzle condensed coconut milk on top of any flavor--it takes it to the next level! I seriously can't wait to go back just for this. If only they had a location near home!

We have had shave ice in Hawaii about 100 times over the last ten years or so. And, this is by far the best shave ice we have ever had. It tastes like it is made from pure juice and minimal sugar. But, in a really good way. I had two bowls a day and never felt sugared out. Give it a try. I recommend the kokolada. It was the best of the six flavors we tried (although all flavors were great).

I had the pb&j joy it was so good I came back two more times I had key lime pie both of them was the best shaved ice. Great customer service, wonderful people. And the view was awesome.

Absolutely delicious!! You can customize your shave ice to include all sorts of flavours and you can also pick a gelato or sorbet as a base. Also, they use real fruits and not just artificial dies, like many places do. 100% recommend. The staff is very friendly! Keep it up!

Gelato: the only item I can speak on is the gelato but OH MY GOSH it was incredible. We had the salted caramel and cookies n cream. It was rich and creamy, exceeding my expectations! The base of the gelato is imported from Italy and (although I didn’t have the shaved ice) the syrups for shaved ice are house made out of fruit puree and cane sugar. Service: We stopped in 3 mins before closing and they graciously served us with a smile. They offered samples, explanations on the different products and origin story. Service was incredible! Atmosphere: the shop is located next to the Starbucks at the Maui Marriott Ocean Club. Easy stop on the beach walk to whalers village! Going back once more before our trip is over!

This is the BEST gelato & shaved ice in Kaanapali…if not all of Maui!!! You have to try this place if you’re on the island!! We’ve been coming to maui forever & would go to Ono gelato…it used to be really good but as time goes on, it’s definitely not as good. This last visit we stumbled upon this new gelato AND shaved ice place right next to Starbucks located on the beach of the Marriott. Soooooo good!!! The owner ended up being the one who helped us & said they opened just a few weeks ago. The gelato is made locally in small batches! So creamy & yummy! If you like coffee, there was 2 options cappuccino & mocha mud pie…best I’ve ever had. We also tried the macadamia nut & pistachio flavors. All amazing! My son got the guava & peach shaved ice! What I loved about it is that the ice is SUPER fine made from filtered water & all of their flavors are real fruit purée vs artificial flavors with dyes etc…none of that here!! Will be coming back here every time we visit & telling all of our family & friends to support this new local business! Great peeps running it! Look for the awesome Hula Girl statue holding ice cream! Very cool!

We have had amazing gelato and incredible shave ice! The owner and staff are lovely people! So happy they are open! A nice addition to the area!
