I used to really like this business and used RentSons for a move as well as for help organizing a basement that went beautifully. During the early part of Covid I had them cancel on me at literally 15 minutes before they were planned to arrive for another move, and decided to give them another chance recently. Unfortunately the helper who came to do holiday set up with me only did less than a third of the amount of work I did in the 4 hours. They needed constant instruction and correction. With the increase in hourly price they are no longer the value they once were.

Jacob got the 2 AC's in the window in 10 minutes and with a smile. I then decided to have him do some weeding before powerwashing the porch. He pouted the entire time. Then he set up the powerwasher in the driveway instead of the front porch. We got that straightened out (duh) and then he reported to me that it didn't work. It didn't because the extention cord was not properly plugged into the outlet. Then the machine was leaking, so I said just use the hose. He started with the hose and the pressure very low, I said somethings wrong with the pressure he looked at me with this blank expression and I said, you know what, let's call it a day. "OK!" He says, "glad I could be of service to you". The kid was immature not very bright kid.

Have to be honest - I've used SURV a number of times but doubt I will use them for landscaping again. Workers were late; lied about being on time, then they left early. More importantly I didn't sense that they had any training whatsoever with cutting back plants for the winter season. Hoping the damage was minimal, but I fear there could be many losses to my plants in the Spring... :-(

We are disappointed that 3 and 1/2 piles of leaves were left on the lawn. They still need to be bagged. We thought the leaves would be bagged as each pile was made. In addition, we were guaranteed that the workers would bring enough yard waste bags. They ran out and had to use a whole pack of my mother’s. One more point: one of the workers worked zealously. The other one was more slackish. We understand there is a great deal of leaves. But it would have been better to have a unraked section, than to have big piles sitting on the lawn which will kill the grass.

The person that was sent to my home spent way too much time on his phone! He actually stepped away from the job to go look at his phone or check his phone on multiple occasions. On another occasion he actually walked up onto my front porch placed his phone onto a table which I have there and tracked mud all the way across the area and onto the rug. He was completely oblivious. Absolutely no need to be going up onto the front porch in the first place. I have utilized rent sons in the past and this will not preclude me from doing so again in the future, but I would hope that the company has a strong policy around this behavior.
