You could probably find a deal on a machine and install the spring yourself, but I think the extra £20 or so is excellent money spent. I have recently used Anthony’s services to fix my Gaggia Classic Pro espresso machine, which had a leak and various other issues. Anthony was very responsive to my initial query and arranged for my machine to be collected by the courier service he uses. Anthony sent me a couple of short videos that outlined the issues with my machine and what was required to fix these. Anthony only had my machine for a couple of days, which was a brilliant turn around. Honestly can’t praise this company enough after a terrible experience with my previous grinder we found Anthony of The Home Barista’s, nothing is / was too much trouble, even went so far as to borrow me a manual grinder until our new one was in stock. Ordered a DF64 gen 2 grinder, they seem hard to find in stock in the UK without waiting weeks or even months on a pre order or buying from abroad and risking high import costs. Ordered it from here as they said they had it in stock. Arrived within 48 hours of ordering, despite placing order late at night it was dispatched within a few hours. Email response to queries within minutes (in the evening). The machine looks to be in great condition and after a quick test grind seems to be working perfectly. Was well boxed. Oh and even better somehow they have got one with a white button instead of the ugly red that seems to come on most DF64 gen 2 grinder😁. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

Anthony was very helpful in describing the differences in the models and that he was a UK licensed trader who would guarantee after product care. I'd had my Gaggia Classic since around 2006. It made good coffee, but not great coffee. I discovered the Home Baristas and sent my machine off to them to get a PID, dimmer, new steaming wand and a service. I received my modified machine back earlier this week. Since then I've been making the kind of coffee I never expected to make in the home! A special thank you to Anthony who patiently bore with me as I made some silly mistakes when I first started using it - a fine grind is required to get the best out of your coffee machine. And if the pressure dial isn't moving on top it's probably a sign you haven't ground fine enough. Anthony's YouTube videos are also an excellent resource for learning how to use your machine. I’m so glad I found The Home Baristas. If you’re a Gaggia Classic owner, and your machine isn’t modded, speaking to Anthony at THB needs to go to the top of your to do list. Unfortunately I took the plunge on my the mods before I knew about the service offered at THB… invalidating my warranty (something you don’t have to worry about if you go with THB) and causing myself a few problems with my machine. Searching for someone better clued up than me led me to THB and Anthony has solved all of the issues I was having with the machine for a reasonable price, and provided great advice and excellent customer service throughout. The attraction of going to The Home Baristas is they’re the only Gaggia UK approved company to perform mods. This means your Gaggia Classic warranty is preserved. Anthony has exceptional knowledge of Gaggia Classics. He patiently helped me navigate through options and pros and cons of various models. In the end I settled for a new (Gaggia Classic Pro/2019+) with all the mods - dimmer/flow control, 9 bar, pressure gauge, PID - which Anthony fitted. The machine arrived well packed and I was off and running almost immediately, to brew espressos. Bought my Gaggia Classic from Anthony and was delighted with the service. Gave me options on what machines he had available. Once I picked mine he sent me pics of it disassembled to show the condition of the boiler and others of it all back together. Communication was great at all times and his "Maintain and Upgrade Plan" is a fantastic touch.
