On the recent passing of my dad, my brother and I contacted Private Cremation service to help us organise his funeral. His wish was to be cremated and we didn't know where to start. We used the services Private Cremations recently to cremate a great friend of mine. I found the whole process excellent from the time we engaged them. They connected with the hospice directly and kept the remains till a suitable time became available for the cremation. The also provided a beautiful simple casket. In addition it was the deceased wishes that his ashes be put into a rugby ball and they even managed that. Overall it was an excellent experience, with Mickey being extremely helpful and one I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a cremation

Private Cremation delivered a discrete, respectful, and responsive all-in service recently to me in July 2023. You don't know how this all goes, nobody writes the book. If it's a traditional Irish wake, Mass and committal then the book is written by a combination of the local undertaker, and good friends and neighbours who just know what to do under the circumstances. But my Mother had stated in her will she wished to be cremated, and she was neither a Catholic nor a local, so something bespoke had to be arranged. At super short notice Mickey was up in Donegal and arranged for the memorial service to be held at Lakelands in Cavan, a central venue for the whole country and those who travelled from Donegal, Belfast, Mayo, and England. The celebrant Ian was superb, we were able to tailor make the service to be as inclusive as possible while still having a strong spiritual element, and Mickey was faultless and discrete throughout. I would recommend Private Cremation to anyone. Above all, it's your loved one's sendoff: don't feel you have to do it any standard way.

After contacting them I received all the information I needed, as well as detailed explanations from Mickey, as I am not familiar with the Irish procedure in the event of a death (I am German). He helped me with all the formalities and took all the necessary steps to transfer the body from the hospice to the crematorium (which I was kept informed about). Also worth mentioning is the very accommodating way about the payment, as I was expecting Exceptional Needs Payment from the Department of Social Protection. I paid exactly the price shown on the website, which means there are no additional or hidden costs. After paying the total price, Mickey personally delivered my husband's urn to my home with all the verifiable information about the identity of the ashes.
