Always a great experience! I've rented the 16' stock trailer from Southwinds a couple of times, and it's my favorite trailer--- my horses' favorite trailer too! It has an optional center divider that creates a box stall which is great for long trips. Nice, quality trailer, great usage options. Always clean and well-taken care of. I recently had to move a mini excavator and I was able get a lift trailer that lowered the deck all the way to the ground. I also had to move another item that required an extra wide deck. I showed up out of the blue needing a trailer. I was hooked up and moving out within 15 min of my arrival with a 20 plus 5 Gooseneck Flat Bed which looked tk be practically brand new! Everything worked and Mike even inspected it to ensure it was road eeady. Mike was spot on, helpful, knowledgeable and pleasent to work with. Pick up and drop off was done with the minimal amount of time soent in the whole process. Efficient and friendly. If you have a need for a trailer, any trailer, call Mike and I guarantee he can hook you up within minutes. I definitely will use thus company again for my rental needs even if I travel almost 3 hrs to do so. I won't do that for just any business. Most I have dealt with are mediocre at vest but not Mike and southwinds rental. They are a cut above and too notch in my book!

It was a pleasant experience renting the Air-tow® 7x14 Hydraulic Lift Trailer from Southwinds Rentals. The hydraulic lift trailer made it quick and easy to load the 1948 John Deere M Series tractor we drove to Northern Illinois to pickup. Dropping off the trailer was just as easy as picking it up.

Rented a 14ft hydraulic trailer from Mike to move a 1900lb ice machine. The pick up and drop off were amazing! It took very little time, the trailer was clean and performed perfectly!! Mike took the time to inspect the trailer and check all tire pressures and lug nuts prior to pick up. And hook it up to my truck, check the lights, and instructed me on how to use the trailer properly. At drop off. Mike inspected the trailer as he did before pick up, shook my hand and thanked me for the business. The online reservation system worked flawlessly and was simple and quick to do. I’m just a hobby farmer but when I do have rental needs, they got a repeat customer Rented a bumper pull double axle horse trailer. Great service, very communicative and flexible. Mike even helped me troubleshoot an electrical issue on the truck I was renting (from a different company) when we couldn’t get lights, reversed the ball on my hitch with a pneumatic drill, and walked me through the trailer braking system. I didn’t have a pressure washer yet so I used the $75 power wash option southwind offers. The trailers are super clean on pickup.

I rented the gooseneck double tandem trailer which was rated for 17,500LBS and 3 of the 1/2 chains rated D 70. Trailer was great and pulled perfect and the gentleman running the establishment was super and very courteous. It was one of the best rental experiences I have ever had and by the way I hauled a John Deere 210C backhoe which weighs 16,000 and the trailer handled it great!
