Het is weergaloos mooi in maart 2025. Het hotel staat op een heuvel waar alles bedekt lijkt met slagroom, zoveel sneeuw. De sfeer, het eten en werknemers is super en nee boekt je enorm verwend.

L'hôtel est fantastique en tout point. Le chalet privé est tout simplement sublime, très chaleureux. Il permet de vivre une expérience authentique. Le restaurant est absolument génial, chaque jour des plats variés et très bien cuisinés, c'était un régal. Magnifique chalet, propreté impeccable, très chaleureux. Emplacement idéal : ni trop loin de la réception, ni trop proche ce qui permet de se sentir chez soit. Finnland ist nun durch diesen Urlaub auf meiner Ranking-Liste ganz nach oben gerutscht! Hier ist die Welt noch in Ordnung. Hier lebt man nach dem Motto: hinterlasse alles besser als du es vorgefunden hast! Die Finnen sind stets freundlich,zuvorkommend aber nicht übertrieben. Zum Hotel kann ich nur sagen: es ist weit über dem Standart was ich sonst von anderen Hotels dieser Sternekategorie kenne! Sehr modern, kuschelig, elegant und trotzdem gemütlich. Absolut perfekte Lage... Egal ob Ski Liebhaber(direkt an der Piste) oder ausgedehnte Wanderungen mit Schneeschuhen, snowmobilsafari oder einfach nur mit dem ausgeliehenen Schlitten den 2km langen Wanderweg ins Tal runter rodeln. Hier kommt jeder auf seine Kosten!!! Das Essen im Hotel regional und trotzdem vielseitig. Jeden Abend gab es verschiedene Köstlichkeiten,liebevoll am Buffet hergerichtet sowohl als auch a la carte. Wir haben sämtliche Aktivitäten mitgenommen,die das Hotel zu bieten hat. Die Schlittenhundetour war der absolute Wahnsinn! So großartig, das sie leider viel zu kurz war. Zusätzlich wurden wir noch mit einer grandiosen Nacht der Aurora boralis belohnt. Trotz Panoramafenster über den gesammten Himmel hat es uns nachts aus dem bett geholt. Schnell in die skisachen gesprungen und nach draussen.... Da das Hotel (Hilltop) wie der Name schon sagt,den höchsten Standort, so weit das Auge reicht, hat, einen unglaublichen Blick über den gesammten Himmel bietet! Wer es mit etwas mehr Privatsphäre mag kann auch gern auf dem Gelände ein schnuckeliges kelo beziehen. Fazit nach 1 Woche.... Wir müssen auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder kommen! Erholung pur!!!! Finland has now moved to the top of my ranking list thanks to this holiday! The world is still in order here. Here people live by the motto: leave everything better than you found it! The Finns are always friendly, accommodating but not overly so. All I can say about the hotel is that it is far above the standard I have seen in other hotels in this star category! Very modern, cozy, elegant and yet comfortable. Absolutely perfect location... Whether you are a ski lover (right on the slopes) or like to go on long hikes with snowshoes, go on a snowmobile safari or just toboggan down the 2km long hiking trail into the valley with a rented sledge. Everyone gets their money's worth here!!! The food in the hotel is regional but still varied. Every evening there were various delicacies, lovingly prepared at the buffet and also a la carte. We took part in all the activities that the hotel has to offer. The dog sled tour was absolutely amazing! So great that it was unfortunately far too short. We were also rewarded with a magnificent night of the Aurora Borealis. Despite the panoramic windows overlooking the entire sky, it got us out of bed at night. We quickly put on our ski gear and went outside... As the name suggests, the hotel (Hilltop) is in the highest location as far as the eye can see, offering an incredible view of the entire sky! If you prefer a little more privacy, you can also move into a cute kelo on site. Conclusion after 1 week... We definitely have to come back again! Pure relaxation!!!!

Nous ânons été conseillé pour aller dans cet hôtel. 1 h 30 de l’aéroport d’Oulu en navette de l’hôtel. Site en pleine forêt au somment d’une colline haute de 149 m qui vous permettra de découvrir toute la vallée. Sur place possibilité de vous initier à toutes les activités typiques : pêche sur un lac gelé, traîneau tiré par des rennes, moto ski et navette pour aller au zoo de Rania et au village du pere noel (Rovaniemi). Buffet matin et soir bien fourni. Personnel agréable et réactif. En terme de logement, nous avons préféré les kett cottages( petit chalet à 2 mn de l’hôtel en rondin de bois mais très bien équipé). 5 jours délicieux.

Ihana nälöala, leppoisa osaava suomeakin puhuva hlökunta. Laskijatkin, kuten lapsetkin, huomioitu. Rauhallista, vaikka ihmisiä olikin. Hotelli itsessään jo käymisen arvoinen, jo pelkästään maisemissa mieli lepää. Rinteiden takia ei kannata tänne lähteä vaikka hyvin hoidetut onkin.

Just perfect!! In the midst of nature with lots of activities to do!

We are enjoying our vacation here at the hotel and the great surroundings. In addition to all the activities on offer, such as dog sledding and skidoo tours, we were also able to see the Northern Lights. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are well equipped, the view is wonderful, the service is perfect and courteous, the food is excellent and there are many safaris.

Lovely place to stay with all you need. You can do awesome activities or just relax.

Een prachtig hotel! Wij verbleven 6 nachten in een van de ketohuisjes. Deze waren erg schoon en gezellig knus. Met 4 personen lijkt het me wat klein. Fijn aan het huisje vonden wij ook dat we zelf lunch konden verzorgen door de faciliteiten in het huisje. (Oven, magnetron, koelkast, vaatwasser) en een eigen sauna. Het enige minpunt waren de bedden, die lagen niet fijn. En het is een kleine 10 minuten lopen (omhoog) naar het hotel. De laatste nacht sliepen wij in de Noorderlicht Suite, hier ontbrak er aan niets. Schoon, mooi, luxe! Een eigen sauna, jacuzzu, 2 badkamers en heerlijke bedden + een adembenemend uitzicht. Enige minpuntje hier was dat de kamers wat gehorig waren, maar we waren dan ook alle rust gewend van het ketohuisje zonder buren. Verder hebben wij onwijs genoten van alle excursies en de spa. Op een half uurtje lopen (naar beneden) is een supermarktje en een pub waar je heerlijk kunt eten en gezellig kunt borrelen. Verder was er weinig in de buurt, maar dit was geen gemis. Je zult je niet snel vervelen. Het restaurant was prima, elke avond een aantal verschillende keuzes op het buffet. Niet veel, maar wel genoeg. Drankjes moet je zelf aan de bar bestellen en reserveren is een must. Wij raden iedereen aan om hier heen te gaan! We hopen zelf ook nog eens terug te komen.

Au sommet d’une petite colline en pleine forêt +++; Des paysages magnifiques Navette à partir de l’aéroport d’Oulu (1 h 30); Bel accueil, installation dans un Ketto Cottage (petit chalet en rondin à 4mn du corps principal de l’hôtel); Équipement du chalet très bien; Demi pension en buffet comme pour le petit déjeuner ; très copieux ; Activités classiques au départ de l’hôtel (pêche sur lac glacé, moto ski, chien de traîneau,balade avec des rennes). Bonne durée pour découvrir chaque activité ; Une journée particulière pour aller au village du Père Noël (Rovaniemi , très, trop touristique) en passant par le parc de Ranua à mi distance lors de l’aller); Nous nous sommes régalés ( lieu, activités).

Nous avons passé la semaine de Nouvel An là-bas et ce n'était que des étoiles pleins les yeux. Nous avions un petit cottage qui était parfait avec son petit sauna privatif. Les combinaisons prêtés par l'hôtel permettent de bien protéger du froid si on a tout ce qui faut en dessous. Les activités se font en petit groupe et les guides parlent très bien anglais et ont beaucoup d'humour ! Le buffet pour tous les repas sont très bien et se suffisent mais il n'y a pas beaucoup de diversité entre les différents jours (un conseil réservé de suite tous les repas de la semaine car sinon vous allez manger soit très tôt soit très tard) Bref superbe pour passer des vacances en famille

Absolutely beautiful location, and the spa is so so beautiful, we loved hopping between the ice plunge, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi! Rooms are very cosy, and the bar is well stocked with a huge open log fire. The only small negative was that breakfast was quite disappointing given how incredible the rest of the hotel is! The warm selection was small and the scrambled eggs were very low quality. We did not eat dinner there so can’t comment on that, however the restaurant always seemed full. A live musician was a. Ice touch too!

The room is very nice, and I like the little hang-reindeer antler on the wall. And the mirror rsp the Tv. Fabolous. The little kitchen corner is great The light in the bathroom should be next to the mirror. To put a make-up on my face, I had more shadow because the light is in the back of me on the ceiling.

Lieu magique pour découvrir la Laponie. Les chalets Kello cottages sont les chalets en troncs d'arbres très typiques et parfaits (avec sauna privé) Je vous recommande également de passer 1 nuit dans une suite aurora Vue avec une vue à couper le souffle sur toue la vallée, sauna privé et jacuzzi à 37 degrés sur la terrasse. Les activités (moto neige traîneau chiens) sont top. La sortie Rennes n'a aucun intérêt : on est assis dans un traîneau tiré effectivement par un renne, mais le traîneau est attaché aux autres en file indienne et le tout est tiré par un guide a pied qui tient le renne du 1er traîneau et qui marche pendant 20 mn. Les massages sur spa sont top également

Un séjour parfait en famille. Le personnel est très accueillant et au petit soin avec les enfants. Le restaurant est excellent et n'a rien à voir avec les buffets que l'on peut trouver dans certains hôtels. L'hôtel est décoré avec goût, que ce soit les KeloCottages ou la suite Aurora. L'emplacement est super pour déconnecter et se ressourcer. Le SPA est superbe et je me suis faite masser par Anna qui masse divinement bien et qui est d'une gentillesse extrême. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir ! Un sans fautes ! Merci

We were very much looking forward to this trip (a trip of a lifetime). Although its a couple of hours in a car (South) of the airport at Rovaniemi we wanted to experience the 'authentic' Finland at Christmas. The transfers organised by the hotel to/from the airport were very good. Arrival at the resort was at night and the reception staff were ok, not exactly welcoming. We got the impression that they didnt really want to speak English with us. Upon arrival, they told us that our itinerary (which we had meticulously planned out with them over several emails in the prior months) had changed and we were given a new schedule. This was for the activities we had planned for the trip i.e. ice fishing, dog sledding, reindeer rides, northern lights etc). Our accommodation was one of the lodges near the front entrance of the hotel. The lodge we had was nice and warm, clean and had 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and lounge. There was a log burner fireplace but no logs and no ability to light a fire. Even though this was self catering there were no shops to buy food and supplies from. There were some gift shop items but really no way of using the self catering facilities. The meals in the hotel were nice, but overpriced for what they were. The staff in the restaurant were perfunctory. The worst part really was the lack of organisation with the activities. When we turned up the first morning, we were told, rather abruptly, by the reception staff that we were to sit and wait for the guides to tell us what was happening. When we turned up for the dog sledding we were told that it had been cancelled and we should have been told (?) We received no emails or texts or even a knock on the door to the lodge. When we turned up for the reindeer trip we were told that we had missed it and when we said we were working to the times given us our new itinerary they didnt believe us until we produced the paperwork and then they apologised and drove us down to the event in one of their cars. I did talk to some of the other guests during our stay and my conclusion is that this hotel is better set up for groups (from Spain and France) than for family groups (from England). The location is lovely but the lack of friendliness to us meant it felt like a very long and disappointing week.

Meestal slapen daar de kinderen (hebben we gemerkt) op een zetelbed. Er is een badkamer, tv en sauna alsook een kast en droogkast op het gelijkvloers. Ga je naar boven dan kan je alleen maar “waw” zeggen. Prachtige kamer met het bed voor het raam en de jacuzzi op het terras om van daar het noorderlicht gade te slaan. De badkamer was ook stijlvol. De zetel zat aangenaam en vandaar kon je naar de TV kijken die verstopt zat in de spiegel. Het buffet is goed maar verwacht geen buffetten zoals dat in bv Turkije en Egypte is. Ze willen voedselverspilling tegengaan en dus kiezen ze er bewust voor om kwaliteitsvol eten aan te bieden maar niet in overvloed. Je kan dus steeds kiezen tussen soep, saladebar en wat voorgerechten, 2 hoofdgerechten en een kidsgerecht en dessert en fruit. Bij het ontbijt mistte ik wel wat meer Finse koffiekoeken zoals een kaneelkoek of donut met kardemom… Bij oud op nieuw was er enkel een saxofonist die het buffet kwam opvrolijken maar voor de rest was er niets te doen qua dansfeestje of zo. Dat moet ook niet maar dan weet je dat er niet zo veel speciaals in het hotel gebeurd. Wij werden wel van oud op nieuw getrakteerd van een prachtig natuurvuurwerk nl. het noorderlicht! De excursies zijn allemaal goed geregeld en vertrekken van daar uit. Leuke gidsen die zeer zorgzaam zijn en veiligheid vooropstellen. Kortom we hadden een GEWELDIGE tijd!!! Geniet vooral van het uitzicht van op de top want die is elke dag weer anders. Nog een pluspunt… de skipiste ligt naast het hotel. Je kan je ski’s beneden huren en dan daarna ze gewoon in het hotel opbergen (ruimte voorzien) om daarna terug naar beneden te skiën…| Proficiat aan het ganse team! We hadden een onvergetelijke vakantie ❤️!

Wonderful Aurora Suite. Own sauna on first level and jacuzzi outside the room on the (not heated) terrace. View down the hill/ ski slope was stunning. Went there at the end of November and had plenty of snow, albeit not as much as during the peak winter season. The room was spacious, modern and the terrace with the jacuzzi had a stunning view. Even though the terrace was not heated and we had about -8°C the jacuzzi managed to heat up to 40°C. The staff was helpful and lovely, the Hilltop restaurant was pricey but had very tasty food.
