Aivan ihana kulinaristinen helmi Ruissalossa meren rannalla. Vaikka ulkona puhalsi marraskuinen hyytävän märkä tihkusadetuuli, sisällä ravintolassa oli lämmin tunnelma. Ruoka oli erinomaista. Kana oli mahtavan rapeaa ja sisältä mehukasta, lihacurry niin uniikkia ja herkullisen mausteista. Jälkiruokalautasella oli lämmin, mehevä brownie ja päärynäjäätelöä. Niin herkullista! Chef's table on kyllä ihan pakko kokeilla vielä ensi kesänä. Karavaanareille tämä aivan mahtava paikka, lähellä on mm. Ruissalon camping. Jos tekee mieli jotain muuta kuin auton kaasuhellalla lämmitettyä purkkihernaria, niin eiku tuonne nauttimaan!

Everyone should experience the chef's table. The chef's table experience was filled with amazing and surprising flavours, beautiful presentation and warm atmosphere created by Richy and his staff. Local produce was beautifully on display throughout the evening. Highly recommend!

Pääruoaksi hampurilainen ja Richyn mummon naudanlihacurry, paras ravintola burgeri ikinä. Paljon ylisanoja, mutta nyt oli oikeasti hämmentävän hyvä! Tarjoilija kertoi että oli vielä shirazia saatavilla laseittain (listalla pullossa), kyllä kannatti! Tänne uudelleen!

So, I finally got round to visiting this place for lunch today (02.10.24). Wow, amazing!!! Where have you been all my life?!?!? The setting is on the western coast of Ruissalo Island, and encompasses the Ruissalo Sailing Club premisses (Finland's 1st airport, from back in the days of the 1920s) Had the soup for starter (think it was cauliflower 🤔). Mind blowing flavours, many of which my pallet couldn't even identify! House cheeseburger for main. Again,an awesome mix of flavours, and NOT laced with copious amounts of mayo!! You could actually taste the quality of the meat, a generous size, with the best fries I ever had in this part of the world. Couldn't finish them all, cos I fancied trying out the deserts! So, to round things off, I had the Crème Brûlée. I've never been a big fan, but as the lively waitress mentioned it is one of the house signature dishes, I gave it a go. So glad I did. It was like nothing I've had before! AND free coffee and dessert are on promotion right now, so check out their Facebook page for details. In the famourls words of Arnie, "I'll be back!!!!"

Löysin lounasaikaan sattumalta aivan helmiravintolan Ruissalossa - Eatery Alex 1917. Lounaslistan kasviskeitto oli todella maukasta, hyvin maustettua! Menukin näytti siltä, että tänne pitää ehdottomasti mennä uudelleen.

Not good, nice views. Not good, lovely place and nice views from terrace. Food was 1/5, didnt inform about indegrients at all. Burger has carrots inside and half a liter of vinegar. Chicken was ok, well cooked. Sauces were terrible.

This place is a gem. We came here for a family dinner to celebrate our daughter's graduation and it was the perfect place to have a really special meal - delicious food in a calm, gorgeous setting.

A great find. The, not just a hamburger, flavors were a culinary delight, it had carrots on it. The fry dip was a curry based mayonnaise that should be illegal. My wife's fish was prepared using the French sous vide vacuum process. We could taste the passion. Our starter was a deep-fried cauliflower beignet with a beet puree. An outstanding lunch experience.

Had a lunch date with my wife and loved the food and the atmosphere. We split the cauliflower beignet for a starter and had the beef curry and tamarind chicken for the mains. The food was to die for and the hospitality of the restaurateur checking up on us was the cherry on top. Finished the date off with a creme brulee and a chocolate brownie. I have eaten at Alex twice in one month, believe me, it is that good! Casual dining at 5 star quality. Read on if you are a foodie: Traditional Mauritian curry: the meat really does melt in your mouth, the spices are well balanced and the whole thing is a warming hug from grandmother's recipe. Creme brulee: the best I have ever had, silky smooth, creamy perfection with a fresh, tart citrusy gel on top. And this is only the everyday food...I can't wait to try the Chef's table menu at the same venue...book in advance! If there is one place you eat at in Turku, take a relaxed drive or bus out to the island of Ruissalo and eat this magnificent food while enjoying the waterside views!

We had a great evening with Richy and his team last night. We sat on the terrace, watching the ferries and smaller boats go by and were treated to the most amazing food. The fusion between Irish & Mauritian dishes was very well thought out, the spicing was perfect, and the drinks menu was comprehensive too. We would love to come back and try the chef's table too. Kiitos for a wonderful evening Eatery Alex 1917, and we hope you do very well in Turku and SW Finland. :-)

Great hidden gem during a walk in Ruissalo. Unexpectedly found this beautiful restaurant in a small marina and had a beautiful lunch made of organic and local produce. Extremely tasty dishes and flawless service. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and recommandations from the chef.

Had a great time with my family on this lovely steamship. Great view, especially from the sundeck. We had tasty mocktails and the bathrooms were spotless. It's so sad the cruises are now discontinued. S/S Ukkopekka will be missed!

We stumbled on this place during a camping trip to Turku - we were camping at the Russalo campsite nearby. The building was the first seaplane airport in Finland which explains the interesting interior- which works well as a restraunt. The food was excellent as was the wine, the service was first class and we felt it was value for money. If we return to Turku we will certainly go back there.

Alex1917 was an unexpected find during our stay at the Russalo campsite nearby. I understand the building was the first seaplane airport in Finland which is in part reflected in the slighly unusual interior layout - which works very well as a restraunt. We went for dinner which was excellent. The food was first class as was the wine. The service was unobstrusive but attentive, and the whole atmosphere was very relaxed. We met Richie the owner and chef who told us about the history of the place and how he had come to be in Turku - he started life in south London! It was a very pleasant evening and I heartily recommend it. If we return to Turku we will definitly go back to Alex 1917

It is a very nice restaurant, we had a lunch with two starters and one maincourse. The main course was a very tasty fish with some nice green sauce, vegetables and roast potatoes. The starters were also exellent in taste and both of the dishes looked very nice when they were brought to the table. The owner and his chefs cook with products from local farmers and they create beautiful and tasteful dishes.

Really nice place. The setting on an island and inside a forest makes this place really magical. Food was overpriced as expected and the toilets weren't very clean (also expected with the amount of children)but all the attractions were free and the theater was a clear highlight!

Het park is een mooie weergave van de moomin wereld, karakters lopen rond voor het maken van een praatje of foto, er zijn enkele moomin huisjes en voorstellingen in het Fins en Zweeds (Engelse ondertiteling). Wel vond ik het vrij duur gezien de omvang van het park. 180 euro voor een gezin. Na 3 tot 4 uur heb je alles gezien en gedaan. Wel fijn dat ze ook vegan eten hebben.

Vilken pärla den här restaurangen är! Helt fantastisk mat, lagad av kockar med höga ambitioner och mycket kärlek. Och det märks i det som serveras. Magiskt gott! De achar-konserverade grönsakerna som kocken/ägaren berättade om när jag frågade var otroligt goda. Är så sugen på att komma tillbaka på en middag vid Chefs table!

Super miejsce na spędzenie wolnego czasu z rodziną👍 Sporo punktów gastronomicznych. Na dzień dobry odbyło się krótkie przedstawienie teatralne Muminków w języku Fińskim i napisami po angielsku na telebimie. Duży domek Muminków, który można zwiedzić od środka. Na zewnątrz można zrobić sobie zdjęcie z Muminkami i resztą postaci z bajki. Teren jest rozległy i zajęło nam 3 godziny by wszystko zwiedzić i zrobić pamiątkowe zakupy. Polecam

Idyllic location in a sailing club on the island of Ruissalo. Stopped here for lunch. Great service and what a meal! The curry: old family recipe, great spices, meat - melt in your mouth. The creme brulee: it doesn't get better, delicate flavour and silky creme, great, thin sugar crust. Everything was wonderful! It's a rare find to get such quality at these prices. This is certainly the new star on the Turku culinary scene🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wanted to check out the steamship for several years, but there was always that ''can try later when there's more time''. Well, there isnt anymore, reading how it is about to be sold, so had to take my last chance to ride an actual steam ship and boy I regret it. I regret so much I didnt go sooner!! We scored a gorgeous weather and the ride had a very romantic feel to it. listening to those old songs on top of the deck and seeing archipelago around. God damnit I loved it. I definitely have to go again, before they stop giving rides at the end of the summer and anyone who loves archipelago should go too. Ship itself is very well kept and the captain was so nice to talk to about how the ship works and about ships future. Very pleasant experience 10/10.

Hyvä hiukan erilainen menu, todella maukkaat annokset, erittäin ystävällinen ilmapiiri & tarjoilu, aivan upeat maisemat ja tunnelmallinen ravintola, kuten Turun Pursiseuran ravintolarakennus on aina ollutkin. Päivä oli mitä kaunein ja Turku Tall Ships Race "exit" oli hienoa seurattavaa suoraan omasta pöydästä. Testasimme ateriat Spiced Dexter Beef Brochette ja Fried Tamarind Brined Chicken sekä jälkiruokana Brownie jäätelön kera sekä Creme Brulee, maut kaikissa annoksissa aivan loistavat! Onnea Pursiseuran uudelle ravintolayrittäjälle Alexille! Tulemme varmasti uudestaan ja pitäähän se Chef's Table kokea jollakin kerralla myös!

夏しかやってないテーマパーク。貴重です。 私はヘルシンキからバスで行きました。カンピのバスターミナルからトゥルクまで約２時間。チケットは、バスターミナルのキヨスクでも買えますし、Onni Busのサイトからオンラインで買うこともできます。 トゥルクからナーンタリまでは、バスターミナルの目の前にバス停があるので、路線バスで。頻発してます。４ユーロです。バスの運転手から買えます。 さて、ムーミンワールド、還暦目前のおじさん一人で乗り込みましたが、旅の恥は書き捨て、けっこう楽しめました。思い切って、童心に帰りましょう。ショーは１時間毎にやってる感じで、私は13時00分の回を観たのですが、なんと日本語訳が大画面に出まして、内容も理解することができました。びっくりです。

Nice buildings to see from outside like a village and to visit inside also! Nice idea that it is on an island but it makes it quite tight and quickly crowded. There are all lot of shows during the day but the level of performance left us wanting more. Is really aimed at a very young audience in my opinion max 4-5 years old. The shows are sung in playback. Too bad. Out of 4 hours 30 in the park we only had time to see 2 shows. We mainly walk around but then the theater is far to come back on time to see more shows. We were expecting more entertainment in the park. The few activities photos with the characters, make-up etc… are all paid. There are no rides. It is more like a big playground. It is nice that there is a beach but we found it a sad that there is a loudspeaker with music. We would have liked to have a quiet break given the crowd of the day. On the other hand many well-stocked shops for those who want to bring back souvenirs but it is not cheap. Lots of choice of restaurants. There is a big effort to be made on the toilets which were all very dirty and no soap most of the time. The beach huts need renovation. I recommend to buy online ticket it is a bit cheaper. Definitely not my favorite park but if you are a very fan of Mummin maybe you will love it.

An excellent relatively new restaurant in Ruissalo, likely the best on the island as well. I asked for the chef's recommendations for starter and main course for (a long) lunch. Both dishes (and wines served with them) were excellent, combining harmoniously both European and ethnic flavors. A nice view of the harbor from the terrace. I will definitely return for dinner as well and try out the Chef's Table concept.
