You absolutely must check it out if you are looking for an event venue. Amazing venue, picturesque setting, and Peter and Nicole are wonderful to work with. Check it out!! Absolutley the most beautiful and unique wedding venue in the area. After visiting many other venues we were delighted to find this gem. I had the chance to work at Union Grove Farm as a wedding planner last weekend, and it's truly one of the best barn venues I've seen. Owners Peter & Nicole are so dedicated to creating a great experience for couples, and they're very easy to work with. The setting is absolutely stunning, and we heard many guests talking about how gorgeous the landscaping is. The lighting in the barn is magical, and the open floor plan is great for receptions as well as a ceremony - perfect for a rain plan. But the dedicated ceremony location is definitely a winner! The built in pergola with the pond backdrop is a perfect ceremony setting. Even though the ceremony and reception location are a short walk from each other, the pathways make it a convenient and beautiful stroll, allowing guests to take in the beauty of the setting from multiple angles. From a vendor standpoint, this venue is doing everything right and we can't wait to work with Union Grove Farm in the future!

This is a barn built for events (no animals have ever lived here). Well done overall with a few concerns. It is close to the noisy road, lighting to/from the parking area at night is very dim, and there are some uneven surfaces to traverse. For a purpose-built barn, I think it should be a bit easier to access. Overall, the interior is beautiful and well done.

We had our wedding here in mid-July, and it was absolutely perfect. The venue, bridal suite, and grounds were gorgeous. We got super lucky with the weather and our guests were actually able to walk around and enjoy the flowers, walking paths, and other outdoor scenery. Indoors was air conditioned and stayed cool the whole night. Nicole and Peter were extremely easy to work with from our first visit to the venue all the way up to the day of our wedding, and also had great recommendations for vendors. We had access to the venue starting on Friday evening, which allowed us/ vendors could come by and unload things in advance of the wedding day. All around, a great experience!

To say this space is perfect is an understatement. My husband and I visited one venue (UGF) and knew it was the one. Peter and Nicole are absolutely amazing not only at what they've created, but their support and availability throughout our wedding planning was beyond helpful. The venue itself is beautiful alone but is also so versatile and our guests loved the ability to enjoy outside by the pond, the shaded patio, and the inside where it can be transformed however you like. In addition to the beauty of the venue, it was perfect for accommodating my first dance with my dad. He has a hearing sensitivity, so to make the moment special for the both of us, we were able to have out father/daughter dance on the gazebo on the pond. I would highly recommend them for any event - from yoga, to weddings, to any get together this space is stunning. I worked with Peter and his team as the floral vendor for a wedding this spring. I was very impressed with his timely presence day-of, availability for answering questions on the spot, and kind professionalism throughout the day. The venue itself is glorious! The land is beautifully landscaped, including a pond, running stream with a sweet bridge over it, a covered dock area on the pond, & gorgeous flowers and plants. Photo ops everywhere! The Barn where the reception was held is a lovely mix of clean rustic with modern touches; it has enough personality to stand on its own, but is also enough of a canvas for a client to bring their own individual character. We were there on a pretty toasty day, and Peter had the AC going when we got there, keeping the space at a very comfortable temperature. Though we set up during the day, when we returned for take down, the lights were fabulous - tasteful, special, and not lacking. Check this space out! I hope to be able to work with them again soon!

My husband and I got married at Union Grove in April 2023. We had a great experience from start to end. Nicole and Peter are very responsive via email & answer any questions in a timely manner. We got a great price for such a beautiful venue and were one of the first weddings to get to use their bridal & groom suites! They are set up nicely, and seem a little small, but fit our parties of 7-9 well! Their recommended vendors were very helpful (we ended up booking mostly from their list). The Barn at Union Grove is a beautiful venue for a wedding - even one that is intimate like ours (50 guests). The grounds have lots of beautiful hideaway spots for pictures and the bridal suite was the perfect place for me and my girls to get ready the morning of. The day of our wedding it rained and we had to make a ton of last minute changes - Peter was on site to help out with whatever we needed. It is obvious that owners care about their guests and work hard to provide them with the best service! You definitely should consider this venue for any upcoming events!

My husband and I had our wedding there this past April. We may be biased but…UGB is easily one of the most beautiful and elegant wedding venue in the area (trust me, we looked through A LOT)! The gorgeous barn, the small waterfall, myriad of flowers, the serene lake and gazebo make it not only a wedding venue, but also a place for our large family to enjoy, have fun and get the most picturesque photos! The Perfect Beat

We DJ-ed for the first time at The Barn at Union Grove Farm on May 6, 2023 for Rachel & Mitch's wedding! I hope it will not be our last time! What a beautiful venue with a Neo-rustic feel. The ceremony was outside with nice backdrops for wedding photos. The insides was spacious with lots of room for dancing! We look forward to seeing Union Grove Farm again in the future.

This is an amazing venue owned and operated by an equally amazing power couple, Nicole and Peter. We booked in the summer of 2022 for a spring 2023 wedding. Overall, the venue is wonderful with dozens of photogenic areas, Nicole and Peter are responsive and flexible, and the space is versatile and brilliantly designed. As other reviewers discuss the venue extensively, I will focus my review on something recently added: the getting ready suites. At the time we booked the venue, they were only just beginning the remodeling of a fairytale bridal cabin from an original log cabin on the grounds, and also had plans for a groom's grotto nearby in the cinderblock basement of the bathroom nearby. While I was skeptical, the execution was flawless, and the "bro bunker" is better than the fairytale cabin. It has Foosball, 4 arcade cabinets with all the classics, a mini-fridge, A/C, 2 leather couches, and a TV with the full roku lineup of programming. We were the first group to have the privilege of using it so I suggested a couple small things during the Friday rehearsal, like hooks to hang suits and a mirror to check the fit. By Saturday morning, hooks and a mirror had been installed by Peter. While I prefer the bro bunker, the bridal cabin is also perfectly suited to getting ready and more purpose built for the ladies. It includes a dozen or so hooks to hang and photograph your clothes, a vanity with mirror and chair, a couple couches, a wardrobe, shutters on all windows to close when the guys finally arrive, A/C, a mini-fridge, and a fully functional sink. In summary, this venue has everything. Space for hundreds of guests, indoor (rain plan) and several outdoor ceremony locations, the best getting ready suites that I have ever seen, and the most wonderful hosts. This review is long overdue... But I wanted to let people that were considering this venue know that you should GO AHEAD AND BOOK IT NOW WHILE YOU STILL CAN! I have done over 400 weddings, as a DJ, photographer and Videographer in the last 20+ years and I have seen just about every venue in the North and South Carolina area and I can tell you with 100% certainty that this is one of the most beautiful and unique venues that you will EVER run across. Their landscaping is amazing! The pond is gorgeous and it's the perfect setting for sunset/golden our photos for your wedding day or private event. The architecture is incredibly STUNNING! It has "post and beam" construction, and you can tell that everything was well thought out and perfectly executed with lots of personal touches. This is not your typical "wedding barn" so if you're looking for the "barn and barbecue" type of vibe, you're gonna be surprised to see how elegant this place is. It's rustic and modern at the same time and it has that well factor that you just can't understand until you see it in person. I had long conversations multiple times with the owners, and they are outstanding, funny and personable people. You can see it in their eyes and hear in their voice that they care about what they are creating. They take the time to hear their clients, and they go the extra mile to execute the clients vision on the day. I have seen it an action, and I am looking forward to coming back in the future! Don't hesitate, this is a hidden gym in the triangle area. I'm sure that before long they'll be booked up for years in advance.

Plenty of parking space, accessible bathrooms (with gender neutral bathroom signs optional), bright lights and so many personal touches. For folks with limited mobility, I would recommend making a plan ahead of time to make sure you know how to get around the space, there are options but it will be good to plan where you're at at what time. I am so grateful that we chose this place to get married.

I could not recommend Union Grove Farm enough. It is an absolutely GORGEOUS venue nestled in Chapel Hill and ran by the nicest and most reliable couple (Peter and Nicole). My husband and I felt so lucky to have found this venue after struggling to find a place that was within our budget and that "checked all the boxes" (adequate parking, good A/C, nice owners, etc.). We had an early August wedding, so it was very important to us have a venue that could host an indoor ceremony and that had good A/C. :) Our guests loved everything from the interior of the barn, to the beautiful string lights (included!), to the pond outside. The best part is that the barn is so beautiful, you don't need to spend a lot on florals or decor. Thank you Peter and Nicole for a beautiful venue and a seamless planning process! We were lucky enough to host our wedding at Union Grove Farm, and it was one of the best decisions we have made! Working with Peter and Nicole was an absolute pleasure, and we were blown away by how beautiful they have made the barn and surrounding area. We had both our ceremony and reception inside the barn with the big barn doors open, so we didn’t have to worry about any potential rain but we could still feel in nature with the light pouring in and the beautiful views. We had our cocktail hour outside on the porch. We loved how the venue was perfect for allowing us to have a mix of indoor and outdoor celebrations for our wedding. Even though the majority of our wedding was indoors, we were able to leave the barn doors open the whole time so you still felt like you were outside and could enjoy the beautiful views from your table and the dance floor. The venue was also a huge hit with our guests - so many of them commented on how beautiful the barn is! Right when you walk up, you see all of the beautiful touches that Peter and Nicole have put into this barn from all of the landscaping outside and all of the beautiful lights inside the barn. Our guests immediately noticed this within moments of arriving. This venue definitely has a wow factor as you walk in. We highly recommend this venue and are so beyond happy we chose it for our special day!

From the landscaping: including a waterfall with a stream running next to a walkway, to the view of the pond, even the bathrooms are pristine and awesome. They take modern farm house to a whole new level. Of course the actual barn is what steals the show!! The intricate wood details, the lattice work around the sides of the barn, the beautiful sliding doors and then of course the GRAND ballroom with huge vaulted ceilings and chandeliers with mason jars for light fixtures. Every detail has been thought of. The HVAC system works great so you can enjoy the outdoors but you never have to worry about it being too hot or too cold because you can go inside the comfortable barn. Literally every thing has been thought of to make your experience the best. The owners, Peter and Nicole are so wonderful and easy to work with. Everywhere you stand has a picturesque view making it perfect for photos. Everything has been handcrafted with unique design elements. You must check it out!

I can't say enough great things about Peter, Nicole and the Union Grove Barn. The property is gorgeous, the barn is epic and now that there are bathrooms on site we had everything we needed. Peter and Nicole were extremely easy to work with, responsive and willing to accommodate us and our guests to give us a storybook wedding. We could not have had our dream day without them. If you are looking for a venue, please check out Union Grove Farm. We looked at several other places and none of them came close. Not for the beauty, ease of having access to the property for the weekend (we did our rehearsal dinner here which I highly recommend to make things easy for setup/showing guests where to go), and above all else, VALUE! We had our first look on the dock/gazebo, and bridal pictures in front of the lake. The few we have seen so far are more perfect than we could have imagined. THANK YOU PETER AND NICOLE!!!

I was the dj for a wedding here. I have seen a lot of venues but this one was breathtaking! The owners have done all the landscaping and built it all almost completely on their own! It was so peaceful and a beautiful place to get married.

My partner and I got married here recently, and we can't recommend it enough! It is absolutely gorgeous (especially at night with all of the string lights up), and Nicole and Peter are incredibly nice and responsive. For example, the day before the wedding we put up little paper signs on the bathrooms to make them gender neutral-- and by the next day, Peter had thoughtfully created beautiful wooden signs in exactly the same design that we could use instead! The only thing for folks to consider with today's pandemic precautions is that the internet isn't super great-- but we were able to have great quality video for the zoom recording by getting an AT&T hotspot! We were able to have an entirely outdoor wedding, and Nicole and Peter were fully accommodating to our needs. Really can't recommend this place enough.

Attended a wedding here. Very nice venue. Still needed some details to be attended to. But its brand new and looks like they are still working on the finish work. Its air conditioned but some ceiling fans would move the air better . Or some type of room exhaust system. Otherwise a beautiful place to hold an event.

The barn at Union Grove Farm was an incredible place to get married! We were able to snag the venue within weeks of our wedding after a change of situation and Nicole was helpful, gracious, and responsive to my copious questions. The space and grounds are absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. Our wedding was pure magic, in large part thanks to these folks at Union Grove. If I could do it all again, I would! Thanks guys for helping us with our dream wedding!!

We held our wedding at Union Grove Farm and it could not have been more perfect! The owners were so kind and responsive throughout the process and were on hand day of to be sure everything went smoothly. The barn and bathrooms are incredible. They have plenty of tables and the X-back chairs are beautiful. You can tell they really put their heart into these spaces! Not only is the inside beautiful, the surrounding property is so well landscaped! Truly a fantastic venue and hidden gem in the countryside of Chapel Hill.

Peter and Nicole have created such a beautiful space, and they are both so helpful and generous. The views of the pond and woods are serene, and the barn is an awesome looking space with wood beams and huge rolling doors that open to the outside. This would be a great place for any event.
